I love remembering the little things about my family and Alex eating with food all over his face and loving every moment is definitely one of those moments I want to remember forever. So, I thought I would use my skills as a lifestyle photographer to capture those amazing moments of him stuffing his face.
I also wanted to show that it doesn’t have to be the big dramatic moments with the sun setting and everyone perfectly smiling that can be the most memorable. It can be those moments with spaghetti sauce everywhere, yoghurt smeared all over the clothes or even… a sneeze.
I have to be honest, my first intention was all overhead shots showing the mess I had to clean up five times a day, but those expressions are so freaking prices I knew I had to go a different direction. Sometimes we can start with one idea and find out that another is better. That’s how we learn and grow.
