Part of what I love about being a Montreal family photographer is being invited into a family’s home and capturing their story. The people I photograph always collaborate with me on what they want to see. We discuss before hand what they want from their photos, what is special to their family and the moments they want to remember forever.
Minna and Jon really wanted to capture the quiet times bonding in those first few weeks with their new daughter.
They just held her, chatted and relaxed. Jon played the guitar and sang and little Alice fell asleep to her father’s music.
It was a low key, wonderful session in a warm and loving home.
I am always grateful anytime a family trusts me to photograph their most treasured moments and I really feel that when little Alice looks back on these photos 20 years from now she’ll see her parents for who they truly are and the real emotion and joy they have for her.
