I met Amelie way back when I was taking pre-natal aqua fitness at the Benny pool in NDG. I was delighted to find out that not only was Amelie’s due date a month before mine, she lived across the street!
Believe me, when you are up nursing all night and you can look out the window and see another light on… it’s absolutely golden.
Our families became great friends and even though we are no longer neighbours we still see each other fairly frequently.
I was so excited to photograph their family.
I have all my client’s fill out a questionnaire prior to our session together and one of the things she mentioned they like to do as a family was bake cakes. I suggested that she could have all the ingredients ready and they could bake a cake together. It was so cute and the photos turned out really well. And it was something important to them at this time in their lives that they will have captured forever. To me that is so priceless.
One of the most important thing that Amelie wanted was a portrait that had the three of them together. I agree. How often is one of us the person taking the photo and left out of the frame.
