Outdoor and Indoor Photo Session
I just love being a Westmount family photographer. Why? Well, for one I live in Westmount! And I think it’s awesome to connect with other families in the area and create beautiful memories (like I did for this family, this family and this family amongst others).
It’s so much fun to run into people on the street or in the park, and have them mention to me that they saw their friends photos and how they were so beautiful. That always makes my day. I also know the area very well so it makes getting around a breeze. Hours have been spent in local parks so I know exactly where the bluebell fields are, or the cool area with all the rocks.
Winter in Montreal this year was pretty tough and we had a lot of dark days. The light works beautifully on nearly every session but when I showed up to this gorgeous Westmount home, it was as if evening had fallen but it was only 10:00am. Bummer. I took a ton of photos that I absolutely loved, but I just was not happy with any of the family photos. I talked about it with the family, and we agreed that I would come back and hang out in the park that’s just in their backyard for some amazing outdoor shots.
I want all my clients to be 100% satisfied, and if a session doesn’t work (which is very rare) I’ll come up with solutions to make sure that my clients are happy. We looked at the calendar, crossed our fingers and with some luck finally landed on a day with beautiful sunshine (all too rare this spring).
And I’m so glad we did. Just look at that sun and the way her hair is just glowing in the light. I love the movement, and the feeling these photos give. And best of all, this family will have memories of playing in the park right behind their house where they spent so many countless hours.

After the sun went down we had that beautiful soft light, and the kids just had fun.
These photos just put such a huge smile on my face. I think it’s because they really tell show off the energy and joy that this family had this day.
And we got those candid, joyful family shots. I always take these types of photos but I rarely show them on my website. However, I know my clients appreciate them and I love them too.
Thank-you to this family for having me both in their home and at the park. I just adored these sessions, and I know they were happy with it too.
