Montreal Outdoor Family Photography
I loved doing Montreal Outdoor Family Photography but it’s tricky. In order to provide my clients with the absolutely best light, I will only do a full outdoor session the hour before sunset. This creates that beautiful sun flare and light is soft, flattering and gorgeous.
Unfortunately, as soon as the weather turns nice, the golden hour is often too late for little ones and I know a lot of families are frustrated. However, I think this forested portion of Mont-Royal might work no matter what the sun is like. I know that not everyone will want a family shoot in a forest and many will still prefer manicured parks, but for those that really want outdoors but find the golden hour too late it might be a solution. I was always hesitant to shoot on the main portion of Mont-Royal (up by the lake) because it is often quite crowded but this area is fairly quiet (and there’s free parking!)
It’s a pretty cool spot and they even have a map so you can see the overall view of the mountain (or even your house!)
Unfortunately, we weren’t able to spend a lot of time exploring but I think these photos give a general idea of what the space looks like.
My other solution to families who want outdoor photography is to do an indoor shoot and then head outdoors for a few bonus photos.
Interested? Contact me and maybe we can get those outdoor photos!
