A lot of people ask my why I do Photography in your home. The truth is there are so many reasons why I love to do that.
Photography in your home
-The first reason is for YOU. When I take photos in your home it is so much more that just the people I am taking photos of. It is their surroundings. It is the couch they jumped off, their bookshelf where they chose their favourite book or their crib they spent their first year. All this provides such a rich memory for you and your child.
-We also capture HOW you interact in your environment. The chair you always rocked your baby in. The seat where you sit your kids everyday to feed them. The couch you snuggle up in. This is YOU.
-The second part is for me. When I photograph in people's homes I get to use my creativity to the max. I have not visited most homes in advance so I have to asses everything instantly. See what works, see what setups I may use, see where the light falls (or doesn't) and come up with a fluid plan in my head.
-I also love homes! I love architecture. I love the way one family might have a collection of orchids, or have a loud fun wallpaper (on the ceiling). I love seeing all those unique details and bringing attention to them. I find it fascinating.
