As a headshot photographer I truly appreciate a good headshot. I'll admire them everywhere - from Instagram to the bus stop. But a bad headshot just makes me cringe and honestly - so sad. We work so hard to make our business or our career a success and showing it off with a terrible headshot just throws it all off. What makes a terrible headshot? A bad vibe for one (think old fashioned realtor photographs), terrible lighting etc. But I want to focus on the positives here.
Why should I get a Headshot?
- As mentioned above, you probably worked HARD to get where you are whether it's finishing your education, opening your own business, climbing the ladder, etc. Be proud and forefront with who you are and what you have achieved. Because....
- Your photo reflects on YOU. If you are a corporate lawyer and you choose your cousins wedding photo where you have a glass of wine in your hand that you tried to crop out... that is not cutting it. Is anyone going to take you super seriously?
- It shows off your VIBE. I take lifestyle headshots where we can get a bit creative. This includes using props, different poses and changing things up. It tells your story.
Most sessions take place at my studio but they can also be on location.
