I'd say 1-2 times per month I either get a call asking to take passport or baby passport photos, or someone showed up at the studio when I had one.
Many people are unaware of how passport photos in Canada work. These need to be taken by someone who has the ability to print out a photo on the spot, and stamp it with presumably a special set of words and then sign. This is not me.
Here are some ideas of where to get passport photos. I took these from suggestions on Facebook. If you are unsure please call ahead.
General Passport Photos
These are generally taken at a pharmacy like Jean Coutu or Pharmaprix. Not every pharmacy does it but most do. Call ahead to make sure. You can usually take baby photos at places like this as well, but make sure in advance. Bureau en Gros, Walmart and Costco also do passport photos.
Baby Passport Photos
These spots do regular passport photos as well as photos for baby, which appears to be a particular concern.
