The number one question I get asked when I receive enquiries from pregnant mothers is when is the best time for pregnancy photography.
I recommend booking your pregnancy photography session between 28 - 32 weeks. This means that you are big enough that your bump shows, but not so big that you have trouble moving.
Having said that, I have photographed pregnant mothers as early as 23 weeks and as late as the day before their scheduled c-section. Everyone's circumstances are different and I always recommend that it's better to have the photos done that to not do it just because you feel like you missed the window.
Other common questions:
Are my children and spouse included in the photos?
Yes - children and spouse are definitely included in images but we will take a lot of time to also photograph you and your beautiful belly.
Can I stay full dressed/can I wear my underwear or go nude?
We wear the amount of clothing you are comfortable with. Many of my clients choose to remain fully clothed but some are OK for being photographed in their underwear or even fully nude. It's really up to you and we can create beautiful photos no matter what you decide to wear. I have a questionnaire where we go over all of this.
Do you offer pregnancy photography special rates if I book a newborn session with you?
Yes - please see here.
Do you have maternity dresses?
Yes, I have a small selection you can see here.
Where does the maternity photography session take place?
I've done these sessions everywhere from outdoors, in-home to in-studio. It really depends on what you are looking for. I find that more than for any other type of sessions that my families have a strong opinion on what they want their photos to look like. I'll work with you to make sure we create something you love. I don't do cheese and would never make you do something you are not comfortable with.
